The experience of visiting Vidhana Soudha as a tourist is offensive. Big fences keep people away from the building and its surrounding grounds. There's no trees or shade to wait under. Yet thousands turn up every day from all over the state. We asked people about this and wrote about it. It's my second favourite piece of writing about modern Bengaluru (this is my first).
